Northwood Ravin Announces Stabilization of First Nashville Community

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 23, 2019) – On behalf of the Capitol View joint venture, Northwood Ravin is pleased to announce the stabilization of their first Nashville community, the Residences at Capitol View, located in the Capitol View District of North Gulch. The 378-unit mixed-use community stabilized at 95% leased in mid-September, just 11 months after opening their doors to the first leases.

“Nashville is one of the hottest markets in the Southeast, and our lease-up at Capitol View has been fantastic. Capitol View is a dynamic mixed-use district that will keep getting better with time,” said Jeff Furman, vice president of Development at Northwood Ravin.

Creating a new district in North Gulch, Nashville

In conjunction with Boyle Investment Company and Northwestern Mutual, Northwood Ravin is the multifamily development and property management firm managing the residential portion of Capitol View. Offering studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury apartment homes, the Residences at Capitol View opened in October of 2018 at the corner of MLK Boulevard and 11th Avenue North. Capitol View creates a brand-new district of shops, restaurants, office, hotel, parks, multifamily residential and, opening in October, a brand-new Publix supermarket – downtown Nashville’s first full-service grocery store.  With major employers like LifeWay, HealthStream and HCA making their home at Capitol View, the development has brought a resurgence of economic stimulation to the area. This momentum will further accelerate with the addition of Amazon and Asurion just a quarter-mile down the Nashville Greenway from Capitol View.

Not all apartments are the same

Northwood Ravin is known for outstanding design in every facet of the apartment experience, including unit design, amenities and site design. The upscale apartments offer residents custom features like kitchen islands, Energy Star stainless steel appliances, wine storage and custom cabinetry with soft close cabinets and drawers, farmhouse-style sinks, rain showerheads, subway tile backsplashes, and broadloom carpet. Details like floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies, Roman soaking tubs, LED lighting packages with pendants and dimmers, programmable thermostats, and keyless fob entry also set the Residences apart from other area competitors.

The massive amenity package at Capitol View brings another level of convenience to the residents. It is the largest in the Nashville market, with over 54,800 square feet of outdoor amenity space in three different courtyards and 12,710 square feet of interior amenity space. Situated over 130,000 square feet of retail, residents can walk to local dining, shopping and entertainment options, including the recently opened Trolley Park and soon-to-open Frankie Pierce Park, which includes a huge dog park. Inside the community, residents enjoy innovative amenities such as a state-of-the-art fitness center with yoga room, full-sized golf simulator lounge, resistance pool, spa, sauna, private wine room and large resident-lounge. An elevated saltwater pool and expansive resort deck are located on the northeast side of the community and overlook the Tennessee State Capitol.

“Northwood Ravin works very hard to create the best possible resident experience; we treat our residents like family,” said Emmie Bertelkamp, community manager of the Residences at Capitol View. Bertelkamp and her team host several resident social events per month, giving neighbors a chance to meet one another and interact. The team will be celebrating their one-year anniversary in October with their residents and guests.
