Prologis will move to Capitol View from Brentwood in July
The Tennessee headquarters of San Francisco-based logistics and warehouse giant Prologis will move this summer to downtown’s Capitol View from Brentwood.
Tanner Hicklin, Prologis’ Nashville-area-based vice president-market officer, said the move to the North Gulch-based mixed-use node is expected to be July 1 and will involve five employees. Specifically, the company will operate on the second floor of the building located at 406 11th Ave. N., which houses retail (a Publix is forthcoming), offices and apartments.
A recently issued permit, valued at about $205,000, will allow for the build-out of the small office (about 2,580 square feet). Nashville-based Flow Construction Co. Inc. will handle the job.
Prologis has maintained a presence in Nashville for more than 20 years. Within the state, the company owns and operates about 35 properties (primarily warehouses) with a collective 9.5 million square feet of space. Notable customers include Coca-Cola, Nissan, International Paper and FedEx.
“Our team of five employees will oversee the operations of our properties and manage acquisition and development opportunities,” Hicklin emailed the Post.
A multinational logistics real estate investment trust, Prologis was founded in 1983. As of Dec. 31, 2018, the publicly traded company had about $87 billion in assets under management, 5,100 customers and 1,600 employees. It is billed as the largest industrial real estate company in the world.
