NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 28, 2019) – WeWork this week officially announced a third location in Nashville, at Capitol View, the 32-acre mixed-use urban district in the heart of the city.
WeWork Capitol View, located in the Block E office building at 500 11th Ave. N., will occupy more than 65,000 square feet across two floors with workspace for WeWork members. The location is slated to open this fall.
Capitol View provides WeWork members with walkable access to retail shops, restaurants, and a 2.5-acre urban activity park opening in June that includes a dog park, playground, yoga lawn and sand volleyball courts. The park is also a trail head for the Nashville Greenway, connecting WeWork members to nearby biking and running trails throughout Davidson County. The WeWork office space will also have direct access to the fourth-floor terrace and outdoor patio at Capitol View. Boyle partner Thomas McDaniel represented the landlord on the lease, and Jason Holwerda and Shelby Hall of Foundry Commercial represented WeWork.
“We’re excited about the addition of WeWork Capitol View to the district. With the announcement of employers such as Amazon moving to Nashville, WeWork Capitol View will provide flexible office and workspace to new Nashville employers, residential tenants and other businesses at Capitol View,” McDaniel said. “The district is growing quickly, and WeWork will be a valuable component in continuing that growth. Not only is the Block D office space completely leased, the new 300,000-square-foot Block E office building opens April 15, and the Residences at Capitol View are over halfway leased.” Anchor tenant HealthStream will open its offices in Block E on May 1.
Capitol View is the first full-fledged urban district in downtown Nashville. While the district is home to a number of office tenants, Capitol View also boasts a number of retailers and restaurants that are already open, including Pinnacle Financial Partners, the LifeWay Christian Store, M.L.Rose, Your Pie, Starbucks, Club Pilates, SVM Boutique, Jón Alan Salons, First Advantage Bank, Sercy + Co., and Valerie Boutique. Other retailers are coming soon, including Publix, Central BBQ, Clean Juice and CareNow. The Capitol View district is also home to The Residences at Capitol View, a 378-unit luxury multifamily community.
